Library Facilities
The City Campus Library and the North Shore Campus Library are both open during summer school. The Library offers a wide range of information resources in print and online through its City and North Shore Campus locations. For further information visit:

Opening Hours for both Campus Libraries: Monday to Friday – 8am to 7pm Saturday – 10am to 6pm. Sunday – Closed.
Note: The Libraries will be closing from Tuesday 23rd December at 5pm and reopen on Monday the 5th Januaray 2009 at 8am.
Student Association (AuSM)
The AUT student association office offers a range of services. These include: lost property, transport services such as discounted bus and train tickets, computer accounts for loading money onto your internet, photocopy or printing accounts, phone cards, lockers, information and feedback and student job search.
Opening hours City Campus: The AuSM City campus office (level 2, WC Building) will closed from Wednesday 16 Decembe at 2pm and reopens on Monday 12 January.
Office opening hours are 10am to 2pm.
Opening hours North Shore Campus: The AuSM North Shore campus office (level 2, AS Building) will be closed from Thursday 4 December at 1pm and will reopen on Monday 12 January.
Office opening hours are 9am to 1pm.
Computer Facilities
AUT provides 1800 computers located in 70 classrooms, used for teaching computer-based subjects. In addition there are three Open Access Labs, which provide a further 150 computers for students to use to complete assignments and do research. Within the City campus Learning Centre, there is also a pool of wireless laptops which students may borrow for up to two hours. All computers in the Open Access Labs are connected to the University’s network and have standard applications such as MS Office. For more information on the Open Access Labs click here.
Eating at AUT
If you are feeling a bit peckish or need to re-hydrate, there are places to eat and drink on campus. There are, of course, plenty of other places to choose from off-campus especially if you are studying at the City campus . Cafes opening during summer school include:
North Shore Campus
- Lime Cafe: Enjoy great espresso coffee and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere. Indoor seating fro 40-100 people is available with a variety of home style baked items,sandwiches, simple wraps and rolls. This area is handy to ANZ Bank cash flow facilities( ATM Hole in the wall), it has a student computer with internet access and is adjacent to a large student lounge area with a TV. Location- Level 1, AS Building, North Shore Campus

Lime will be open until 3.00 pm Tuesday 23rd December 2008
Then reopens Monday at 7.30pm January 5th 2009
Hours of operation: from 7.30 am until 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
The City Campus
- Beanz Cafe: Offers a range of fresh muffins, pie sandwiches, wraps espresso coffee and cold drinks. Beanz Cafe has outdoor seating for 30. adjacent to the School of Hospitality and Tourism.

Location- Level 2, WH Building, City Campus
Beanz will be open until 1.30pm Friday December 19, 2008
Then reopens Monday at 9.30 pm January 5th 2009
Hours of operation: from 8.00 am until 1.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
- The Counter on the City Campus is a licensed cafe situated on the ground floor of the Faculty of Business building, adjacent to a large open terrace facing onto Mayoral Drive and Governor Fitzroy Place. This cafe offers excellent espresso style coffee, a la carte and Deli-Cabinet style food and a selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal.

Location- Level 1, WF Building, City Campus
The Counter Cafe will be open until 2.00pm Tuesday December 23, 2008
Then reopens Monday at 8.00 pm January 5 th 2009
Hours of operation: from 8.00 am until 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday

Parking
There is no student parking at the City Campus for students. However, there are many options for parking, including in the Aotea Centre carpark off Mayoral Drive, and the parking complex on St Paul Street.
On-campus parking is available for students at the North Shore campus on a “Pay and Display“basis with machines for payment situated within the car park. The tariff is $2 first the first 4 hours or $4 for all day.
Print services
Printsprint can provide you with digital copy and print services. Printsprint services are available from four branches, two of which are located in the Learning Centres. All branches provide self-service copy machines, document binding, laminating, and black and white or colour copying/printing services. Child Care
AUT’s Crèche will have some limited places available during this period. Enquires should be made direct to the Crèche on 921 9804.
Sport and Recreation Facilities
Because of the intense nature of the Summer School papers and the pre and after lecture requirements the opportunity for recreational activities will be limited. However, there are fitness centres on both campuses and extensive sports activity options at the North Shore Sports Centre. Click here for more information
