Flying Start - University Pre Sessions
Flying Start is a programme specially designed to introduce people to the world of university study and is ideal if you:
- Are an international student and have been given conditional entry into AUT, provided you complete the Flying Start programme through the School of Languages. At the end of the programme you will be required to sit an exam which will decide whether you will be accepted into your AUT studies.
- Are a current AUT student and want a head start in your studies. The KEYS programme comprises a number of papers which help students gain the necessary skills and information needed to get the most out of their university study. It is a free programme and students can either do one or all 20 of the papers on offer. Each paper requires eight to ten hours of class contact time.
- Are an undergraduate student needing preparation for postgraduate study. These students take a Data Retrieval and Analysis paper with the School of Social Sciences. Postgraduate entry may be conditional on a pass in this paper.
- Want a head start in your studies. Although the Flying Start programme is not a prerequisite some students wanting extra preparation for their undergraduate study may choose to make a Flying Start to their studies.
