WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL OF ORAL HEALTH

The BHSc (Oral Health) is an exciting new course which incorporates both dental therapy and dental hygiene education. Upon graduation, New Zealand legislation allows you to work in both private practice and public health settings, providing oral health care for children and adults within your scopes of practice.

In addition, AUT University offers a pre-degree dental surgery assisting course. If you choose to study this course, you will be well equipped to provide skilled dental assisting to oral health practitioners.

AUT University’s Oral Health School is well situated on Auckland’s North Shore, with student placements to areas of high need both within Auckland and the North Island, so that while you are a student, you will be able to contribute to improving the oral health of New Zealanders whose needs are greatest. Our school has an outstanding new purpose-built clinic and a well equipped preclinical learning facility.
