AUT University's School of Midwifery has a strong reputation for producing excellent midwives with an extensive base of knowledge and clinical experience. Our programmes range from degree to postgraduate.
The Centre for Midwifery and Women's Health Research is the research arm of the School of Midwifery and is guided by an external advisory group. We are committed to building partnerships, knowledge and skills through education and research, in order to improve the quality of care for women and families.
Here is what our graduates say:
“You've got to have a passion for it. The Bachelor of Health Science in Midwifery was very intensive, but well worth the hard work.
I'm now a community midwife for National Women’s Hospital and am assigned as a lead maternity carer for up to 60 women.“
