Kia ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, kia orana, fakalofa lahi atu, bula vinaka, warm greetings to you all.
AUT University invites all Māori and Pasifika postgraduate research students to attend a series of weekend wānanga to support your Masters and PhD research endeavours. These weekends are free and include all meals and accommodation at our beautiful marae, Ngā Wai o Horotiu.
The aim of the wānanga series is to create a healthy and supportive postgraduate research culture promoting collegiality and scholarship for Māori and Pasifika students at AUT.
Hosted by each faculty in turn the wānanga weekends will offer optional workshops, guest speakers, access to computer labs and opportunities to network, and share your findings with your peers and invited academics. You may wish to trial your D9 presentation or take some time in a quiet space to reflect and write. We encourage you to attend for the full weekend to make the most of our facilities and supportive staff.
The inaugural wānanga is held over three days and is hosted by Te Ara Poutama. It begins at 6pm on Friday 25 July with a pōwhiri followed by dinner.
Wānanga 1: Te Ara Poutama 25, 26 and 27 July
