Workshops
On both campuses the Library offers a variety of orientations and workshops to suit different groups. These sessions enable staff and students to become familiar with the layout of their campus library and the resources available.
Click on any of the links below to find out more about the classes available.
In addition to the sessions outlined above staff can request any of the following for a specific group.
Orientations include a tour of the Library and an introduction to how the library works and the services provided.
Workshops and classes can give a general introduction to information retrieval skills, the Library website, the Library catalogue or other Library databases.
Workshops are hands-on and classes are demonstration only. Workshops can be held in the Information Literacy Lab or any computer classroom. Classes can be held in the Library or in any classroom with a datashow.
Any of these sessions can be tailored to a specific group to provide an introduction to skills and resources for a particular project or assignment.
